Tofino Helicopter Elopement & Golden Hour at Pettinger Point
Joshua + Stacey started their elopement day side by side, getting ready together in their Pacific Sands Beach Resort suite before heading down to Cox Bay for an emotional and joy-filled first look. After that moment settled in, we moved into the calm of Pacific Rim National Park for their rainforest ceremony beneath the old-growth trees. The whole experience was quiet, grounding, and so them.
Afterwards, we flew with Atleo Air for a three-hour helicopter experience, landing on a remote island and then at a beautiful mountain lake that felt like another world. A waterfall was pouring down the rocky cliffs beside us, the air was crisp, and the rain paused at all the right moments. Stacey spent the entire day barefoot, wanting to feel connected to the earth beneath her. And at one point on the remote island we spotted the cutest sea otter, which felt like such a sweet little gift in the middle of it all. The views during the helicopter ride were so unbelievably stunning.
The next evening brought the most gorgeous golden hour — soft light, lots of wind, and big waves crashing behind them. Stacey’s veil caught the breeze perfectly. We explored Pettinger Point until sunset, and they closed out the night playing in the ocean under a crescent moon. It was such a beautiful and memorable way to end their Tofino experience.
What made their elopement so special was how truly present they were. No pressure, no distractions, just the two of them taking in every moment together.
This was easily one of our most memorable full-day elopements in Tofino with J + S. It was genuine, adventurous, romantic and filled with everything that makes the west coast feel like magic.
Brian and I are so grateful they invited us into such an important time in their lives.
