All of the locations in this guide are easily accessible year round with little to no hiking required, and all are within 5 minutes to one hour from the ferry in Gibsons.

Porpoise Bay Provincial Park, Sechelt Inlet

We love Porpoise Bay for its beautiful golden hour light, shallow and warm waters, and soft sand that’s perfect for walking barefoot along the ocean and beach together.


Cliff Gilker PaRK, Roberts Creek

Cliff Gilker, is one of the most beautiful rainforest parks on the Coast and one of our most requested locations for ceremonies and photos. This peaceful park, nestled in the heart of Roberts Creek, features a network of easy trails, stunning waterfalls, wooden bridges, creeks, lush moss, ferns, and towering trees, creating a magical backdrop for your ceremony and wedding photos. The trails are easily accessible from trail heads and the parking lot.


Chatterbox Falls, Princess Louisa Inlet

Chatterbox Falls, located within the breathtaking Princess Louisa Inlet, is an iconic and awe-inspiring location for an elopement on the Sunshine Coast, BC. Cascading 120 feet into a misty pool surrounded by lush greenery and towering granite cliffs, the falls offer a dramatic and unforgettable backdrop for your ceremony. The pristine wilderness, surrounding lush rainforest and serene ambiance create a sense of magic, perfect for couples seeking a unique, and intimate setting.

Accessible only by boat or floatplane, the journey to Chatterbox Falls is an adventure in itself, with stunning views of fjords and coastal landscapes along the way. From Egmont, you can also take a boat tour or private charter through Jervis Inlet to reach this hidden gem.


Sandy Hook + Fish Tail Beach, Sechelt Inlet

Sandy Hook Beach and Fish Tail Beach, situated side by side along the tranquil Sechelt Inlet, offer stunning settings for an intimate elopement on the Sunshine Coast, BC. Sandy Hook Beach, in particular, is one of our most popular spots for engagement sessions and elopements, thanks to its breathtaking inlet views. Both beaches also have the most dreamy golden hour light on sunny evenings.


Daniel Point, Garden Bay

Daniel Point, located in the charming community of Garden Bay, BC, is a stunning coastal gem and a dream location for an elopement. Perched on a rocky bluff overlooking the sparkling waters of Malaspina Strait, this spot offers breathtaking panoramic views of the ocean, distant islands, and vibrant sunsets. The rugged shoreline, framed by windswept pines and native arbutus trees, creates a dramatic and romantic backdrop for exchanging vows and capturing gorgeous photos. You might even see some orcas pass by!


Hidden Grove Forest, Sechelt Inlet

Hidden Grove Forest, nestled near the Sechelt Inlet on the Sunshine Coast, BC, is a magical spot for an elopement ceremony. This enchanting forest is a haven of towering cedar and fir trees, lush mossy undergrowth, and winding trails that create a serene, intimate atmosphere. On sunny days the light filtering through the trees creates a gorgeous glow, especially right before golden hour. The trails start right at the parking lot and are easy and well maintained.


Gospel Rock, Gibsons

Gospel Rock, located in the charming town of Gibsons, BC, offers an unforgettable setting for an elopement, combining natural beauty with stunning views of the Pacific Ocean. Perched on a cliffside overlooking the ocean, Gospel Rock provides panoramic vistas of Howe Sound, the nearby islands, and the coastal mountains. The area is named for its tranquil, spiritual atmosphere and the incredible vistas that make you feel connected to both nature and each other. Golden hour and sunsets here are pretty dreamy. A truly awe inspiring location!


“Secret LOCALS Cliffside Spot”, ROBERTS CREEK

One of our favourite spots, this trail begins at the beach and leads you along a beautiful path framed by arbutus trees to a grassy cliffside overlooking the water. It’s the perfect place for golden hour photos, your ceremony, or a peaceful picnic on your wedding day.


Soames + Armours Beach, Gibsons

Armours Beach and Soames Beach are two beautiful sandy beaches connected in Lower Gibsons, offering stunning views of the North Shore Mountains and nearby islands. It’s a picturesque spot where sailboats often glide by, and you can frequently spot marine life, including seals, orcas and seabirds.


Bonniebrook Beach, Gibsons

Bonniebrook Beach offers so much beauty with its sandy shoreline, gentle waves, and breathtaking views of Howe Sound and the distant Vancouver Island mountains, it provides a romantic and peaceful backdrop for exchanging vows. The beach is surrounded by lush forest and a scenic seawall, the beach is teeming with marine life and birds. The golden hour and sunsets here are absolutely stunning.


Thormanby Island

Thormanby Island, nestled off the coast of the Sunshine Coast, BC, is a hidden gem that provides a perfect, secluded setting for an elopement. With its pristine soft sandy beaches and rugged shorelines, the island offers an intimate and tranquil atmosphere.

To reach Thormanby Island, simply take a 15-minute boat ride via a water taxi from Secret Cove Marina.


Sargeant Bay Provincial Park, Halfmoon Bay

Sargeant Bay Provincial Park, located in Halfmoon Bay, is a scenic diverse park featuring a beautiful beach, calm waters, wetlands, a bird sanctuary, and stunning views of the surrounding islands. Impressive giant driftwood logs adorn the pebble beach, and during low tide, you'll discover some wonderful stretches of sandy beach.

The shoreline is surrounded by lush forests, providing a tranquil and natural setting for your ceremony.


Colvin Creek Trail, Halfmoon Bay

Across the street from the entrance of Sargeant Bay Provincial Park, you’ll find the entrance to Colvin Creek Trail. The trail offers a beautiful walking experience through the lush forest, where small streams trickle beneath the towering trees as it winds through the rainforest. This gradual ascent leads you to a stunning viewpoint at Triangle Lake, featuring an elevation gain of about 590 feet. The full circular trail spans approximately 1.7 kilometers.


Francis Point Provincial Park, Pender Harbour

Francis Point Provincial Park, located on the Sunshine Coast near Pender Harbour, is a breathtaking, remote location that offers a stunning and peaceful setting for an elopement. Secret Beach, Gibsons

Breakwater Park, Gibsons

Secret Locals Lookout Spot, Langdale

Soames Forest & Hill, Gibsons

Soames Forest and Hill, near Gibsons, BC, features a 2.7-km loop trail that’s perfect for couples looking for a mix of adventure and stunning scenery. This moderately challenging hike offers several breathtaking lookouts, including the summit of Soames Hill, where you’ll be treated to sweeping views of the coast and islands. The trail winds through cool, dense forest, with a steep climb that quickly rewards you with picturesque vistas.
