Frequently Asked Questions

Q. How long have you been documenting elopements?

I’ve been a photographer for 15+ years and have been photographing weddings and elopements full time for the past 12 years. Brian has been a photographer + filmmaker for our company for the past 8 years.

Q. How do I begin the booking process?

Once we meet and have a video call and choose your date, the next step is to figure out your vision for your elopement, how many hours of coverage, choosing your dream location and sharing the experience we offer with you. If everything aligns well, we will send you a contract along with the retainer amount that we require to secure your booking.

Q. How many edited photos will we receive?

We generally give approximately 100+ finished photos per hour of coverage including a curated collection of black and white images.

Q. How do we receive our finished photos?

We will send you a beautiful personalized online photo gallery that includes all of the best high-resolution edited digital images. This gallery enables you to download, print, and share the images with family and friends. It also has a built in store where you can create and order custom albums.

Q. When can we expect to receive the finished photos?

The process generally takes between 12-15 weeks in our busy season, however we do send a preview gallery 1-2 weeks after your elopement day that includes a sneak peek of images of the day’s most memorable moments. For wedding films, specifically the feature film the process is 18-22 weeks.

Q. Do you offer wedding albums?

Yes! Please get in touch with us once your wedding is finished and we can start the process of creating a beautiful photo album. See more info here.

Q. What is your approach to photographing and filming an elopement?

Your elopement day isn’t a photoshoot. It’s a wedding day experience and because of this we have a very candid and natural approach. We love capturing genuine interactions and emotions, however we also provide lots of direction throughout the entire process to help you feel connected and comfortable.

Q. How would you describe the style of your photos & films.

Brian and I have a storytelling approach, which means that we love capturing the authenticity of unposed moments. We also like to have fun with our couples in creating some artsy shots that show off the beauty of the day and all the in between moments. We also really focus on the environment, landscapes, and the vibe/feel of the day.

Q. Do you travel for elopements?

We sure do!

Q. I noticed that you offer cinematic elopement films. Is that the same thing as hiring a wedding videographer?

The main product of our elopements films is a feature film. The length depends on how much time we spend with you, the amount of coverage we film, length of vows, etc. The film beautifully captures the essence and story of the entire day. These films are the perfect length to share with friends and family.

We also offer feature-length, documentary-styled films that include more complete coverage.

All cinematography and post-production film editing is done by my partner, Brian Thompson, who has many years of creative experience in the industry.

Q. Do you have insurance?

Yes, our gear is fully ensured and we are covered for $2,000,000 commercial general liability.
