Megan + Dirk’s Spring Sunshine Coast Elopement
Some places just feel special, filled with memories and meaning. For Megan and Dirk, the Sunshine Coast is one of those places. Originally from England and now living in Vancouver, they moved here to embrace the mountains and outdoor adventures. Dirk proposed on day two of their hike along the Sunshine Coast Trail at the stunning Gibraltar Bluffs, so it felt only right to return exactly one year later for their intimate, heartfelt elopement.
Their day started in a cozy cabin in Gibsons, where they read the most touching letters from family before getting ready. Megan helped Dirk with his suit, a quiet and sweet moment before the adventure began.
Their first look at Gospel Rock was pure magic. Standing on the cliffside, surrounded by dreamy ocean and mountain views, they shared such an emotional, joy-filled moment. Then we wandered into the lush rainforest of Cliff Gilker Park, where they exchanged vows by a rushing creek, the sound of the water and the towering trees making everything feel even more connected and meaningful.
After their beautiful ceremony, we made our way to Gibsons for golden hour on the beach. They popped champagne, shared pizza and cake, and soaked in the moment together, the perfect mix of romance and ease. As the sun set, we explored a few more breathtaking spots, ending the evening with the most stunning ocean and mountain views.
One of the best things about eloping on the Sunshine Coast is how many incredible locations are close by. Megan and Dirk experienced five unique and gorgeous spots, making their day feel both effortless and adventurous.
Their elopement was more than just a wedding. It was a day filled with love, beauty, and the most meaningful moments, and we feel so grateful to have captured it all.
